Finally Jasper weight is over 15 kg! hopefully it stays this way. Today Gemma weight herself and also finally just over 13kg too! They are forever 14. something and another 12. something.... for many many months. so I v happy and hope they eat more now.

So now Jasper is 15.4 and Gemma 13.1kg

Jasper and Gemma are really different...

While Gemma is quite "dirty" and dun mind to poo in any public toilet even if it smells terribly. I am always the one suffering when I take her into toilet while she is v v happy like goin to amusement park. funny.

Jasper also doesn't like to poo outside. Everytime he find the urge outside, he will still try to ren and say he wanna go home to poo.

One day, he couldn't hold it and I brought him to the toilet. Upon entering the cubicle, he looked into the bowl and said "dirty ley"
I said it ok and I will clean it. He added" can you flush the black black thing now?"
He is even more a clean freak than me!

n he managed 1 poo and quickly stood up and say he finish.

ok both have good and bad points. For Gemma, very easy to bring her out as she more adaptable. Any where also can poo and pee I meant the toilets la
For Jasper, it terrible if u go far away places. eg when we were at Genting, he insist to go home n poo. hotel rm also cannot. n can see his face turned green but he still wan to endure. end up he couldn't eat during that meal. how could he when he already stomach ache liao rgt? but good point is he rather hygenic and so he wun anyhow go n touch the things in the toilet unlike Gemma.

On 28Oct, I taught Jasper my handphone number and asked him to memorise After a few tries, he remembered. He learned this type very fast, like alphabets and words. unlike Gemma. but Gemma is more street smart.

Then the next day, he actually called me from Kumon "mummy, can you fetch me now? I am finished here"
wow first call from him! so exciting and happy for him! somemore my handphone number is v difficult to remember 1.

Cute little Gem is quite fierce some times... Recently I caught her throwing gal tantrum at my boy. Ok happen that boy was sitting on tat chair earlier but the fact he was no longer sitting there n so Gem went to sit. Boy came along and want to sit. She didn't give in and lead Jasper to burst out in tears...

I saw n after a while ask her if she could give gor gor to sit since he is crying so badly liao. She gave in, stood up and threw a glare at gor gor and remark "I dun wan u liao!!" and storm away... hot chilli pepper....

Parents-Teacher Session

Last Sat, we went to meet the teachers for the kids update in school.

Feedback from Jasper teachers are...

"he is quiet boy""his command of English is rather good""he shows improvement as in sometimes able to volunteer to ans questions and others task like playing the lion dance"

The chinese teacher also commented that he doesn't recognise his chinese name so need to practise recognising more at home. Both teachers agree that he doesn't show interest in colouring and do practise more colouring and cutting at home. But they say he is v keen in singing and have the rhythm and actions for every song. :)

Later we went to meet Gemma teachers too.

Feedback from Gemma teachers are...

"she is quite quiet" "but recently this week she dare to speak out esp if other kids snatch her things... she will scream" it's mine!!!" "
"so she can be quite fierce but she doesn't snatch other kids toys from their hands. she will ask permission" "she is v cute n I wish to hug her at times even if she only wanna hold hands""her fav fruit is watermelon" "she can paste art work diligently on the sheet""she speak quite softly"

Both Jasper and Gemma teachers said they have some problems in eating... which I agree too. For jasper, it has improved and teacher say in fact his class there are a few like him. For Gemma, teachers commented if she love tat food, she can eat 1 whole bowl. minimum amt they will force is at least half bowl.

Strange that the 2 kids are so quiet in school... at home it is totally diff.. screaming running, voices everywhere... fighting... teachers are amazed n thot i m bluffing them... no joke.

Last Sat, I told Gem that I use all the money to buy her diapers and so no $ to buy her dora stuff. She listened and decided not to wear. I also encourage her that if she able to urine in potty, I will give her stickers or chop. If manage to poo, I will give her strawberry shortcake stickers. She was motivated and the next few times were successful. I was v happy and of cos she too as she got her stickers etc. N she boost to everyone tat she got it cos she pee or poo in the potty. but think she had one incident tat she pee in pants.

Last Sun, we went out a while n so I let her wear pamper but I told her she need to say if she wanna pee. The first time she wanna pee n tell me, I quickly bring her to toilet. I took out her pampers as also need to change and she actually pee. She was v proud of herself. but the next time she actually say wanna pee but didn't pee. n we ended up going back toilet 3 times w/o success. so dilemma rgt, wish she will diaper free now but goin to public toilet is such a hassle.

Yesterday evening after school, she actually poo again in the potty. Hope she will keep this way...

Day 4 - Phuket (23 Feb 2011)

Finally today we went Patong beach...

The sand is very fine and nice to play.

And the water is so clear... look!

While in the sea, we notice lots of white plastic bags floating... I was wondering why so many n then I realise!!! they are not plastic bags but.... jelly fish!!

Since the kids are already in swim wear, we went for the swimming pool next.

Day 3 - Phuket (22 Feb 2011)

On the 3rd day, we decided to book 2 packages, 1 is for island trip and 1 for the Fantasea show.
We booked Khai island because I think it is more suitable for younger kids. I was right as there is a small area whereby you can stand in the water and feed the fishes instead of snokelling. Luckily I bring a whole loaf of white bread which came in useful. (actually it was bought as my kids love bread too!) end up they share it with the fishes! haaaa

Look at all those fishes. The kids had a good time feeding them and touching them! I didn't took pics of them feeding as I am busy holding onto their hands. as there are rocks below and scare not stable as we walked though...

We went to another island to snokel. and then the last island for more sand and lunch!

lunch was nice sandwiches and free flow of tropical fruits like watermelon and pineapples. very sweet and Gem love the watermelon since then. of cos, there is free flow of drinks too.

We head back after the half day trip and went back hotel to shower. Then went shopping a little and had food at Fuji. Very nice and fresh. In fact we ate it for 3 days! It is alos value for $. wun get this at this price in SG!

After dinner, we headed back to hotel to wait for the bus to Fanta Sea. was disappointed that the guy was late to pick us. Nevertheless we reached there and quickly exchanged our passes.

We booked the show as well for the dinner as it looks more worth it. As we also have kids, it make more sense to have our dinner there too. As you know, kids do take a long time to eat their food so we simply cannot wait for them to finish. The bus pick us at abt 7 so it better to have our meal there. Furthermore it is buffet style so we can take our time. Anyway the bus was late and we ended eating faster so that we can look around the big park before the show start.

We were waiting to go into this hall for the show. It is very grand.

The show cannot be viewed. In fact our phones and camera had to be desposited into their safe boxes, to be claimed after the show. It was quite orderly despite the big masses going in and out later. But after the show, we have no time to look around as the bus driver is already here. in fact we are late... was a bit disappointed y he came late and pick us early. the place is so big so he should have given us more time.

Our goods for the day... Yummy crackers not found here in SG, or is there? I like their flavours very much as it more spicier.

Day 2 - Phuket (21 Feb 2011)

The next morning, getting ready for brekkie.

After the nice brekkie, we went for a swim at the swimming pool. The children pool is 80cm so that means both of them can't really stand in the pool hahaha so we guide them around the pool.

After swim and shower, we went shopping. Today we have booked the taxi driver around 1 p.m to go to Phuket town again. For the 1st 5 hours, 1000 Baht and seq every hour, 200 Baht. Since I wanted to see sunset later at Promthep Cape, I booked the taxi later. Since we have time, we went alittle shopping around our hotel.

We walked all the way to OTOP mkt which was opp of hard rock cafe. By then we are tired and hungry so we went to Hard Rock cafe and eat.

After lunch, our taxi driver came and picked us up and we head to Phuket square

After that, we went to Wat Chalong. The temple has a big compound, 1 building house alot of statues, and another to house 4 famous monks statues (air-con inside). There is one building to pray as well.

This is where they put out the fire crackers. I think you can buy and try out yrself...

We went to Promthep Cape but it rained. so we took turns to see leaving the kids in the car. The scenery is so so,... maybe prob it was raining too.

Then the driver also drove pass karon view point and he asked me if I wanted more photos. So I took.

It was the end of our taxi ride, we exceeded half an hour so we paid 1100 Baht.

We had our dinner at Red Boat Restaurant and it was much nicer than yesterday dinner.

We ordered a soup for the kids. The soup is clear and nice.

Day 1 Phuket (20 Feb 2011)

This is our first time taking the budget airline and it was Jetstar. We were excited and the flight was early (8.25 a.m) which is very good as it means we have more time there - Phuket!!!

We reached after 1 and half hour and it is sunny.

Hero Hubby taking the kids bagpack (with their stuff), another kids lugguage bag (with Gem pampers) and one hard case (with all our clothes and the kids' milk tin)

We boarded the hotel taxi to our hotel. It is not free. We pay 700 Baht.

We reached slightly before 11 a.m I remember.... but the room was ready already so we went up...

n it was big n beautiful!

We stayed at Royal Paradise hotel under the Royal wing. The room is bigger and has a balcony that face the swimming pool.

Gemma is actually at the window of the washroom. Open concept. of cos can close the window when bathing.

The kids can't help but run and jump on the bed.

While still admiring our room, my taxi man called us and since we got all time to view our hotel room later, we quickly gathered our bags and off we go to our first stop - Pornthip food store to buy some local food stuff.

and after we bought, we realised they actually do free packing into box for us. very good rgt!

After lunch, we walked around and then decided to head to Big C, a neighbouring shopping mall.

But it was disappointing. Though it looked big and name has "BIG" too, but there is nothing. but the kids still liked cos got their fav rides and also their donuts.

Gem can't be taken as she refused to let me take a photo of her... she either looked left or right but not at me... dunno y.

only managed this... with her gor gor.

Next, I have abit of time b4 going weekend mkt so I suggested going to cashew nut factory. At first I wanna go Metee but taxi driver advise Sri Bhurapha Orchid as it close later.

After buying some cashews, we head down to our last taxi destination - weekend mkt!

We are there earlier so you can see lesser stalls and cars. By the time we left, it was very crowded and full of cars and bikes too.

The taxi driver send us back to our hotel and we had our dinner nearby. There are a few seafood restaurants along the road outside our hotel. So we settled for one - 99 restuarant.

We order a pineapple rice for the kids but the rice turns out to be abit too sloggy

We tried their tomyum but it abit too sour.

LASTLY... we had our last hope and that is the sting ray...................................

BUT more disappointment......

There goes our first day @ Phuket. overall, still ok, the wkend mkt and the hotel room save the day :)

Back at hotel, I had my coffee and do a bit of packing before turning in to bed.

Gemma finally have her first poo in her potty!!! she used to want to sit in the potty but no pee or poo business at all. But TODAY she finally sat and have a bit of poo. As an encouragement, I gave her her favourite Dora chop on her wrist. She was very elated. 再接再励!!

Pacifier free at last!

Last week during the Chinese New Year, Gem suddenly remember her lost pacifier at the mall in Genting last year. We took this opportunity to tell her yes no more pacifier at home liao, it all lost. So we kept away, in fact threw away her last pacifier (anyway it is broken too)

So each time she asked, we remind her that it was lost in Genting and she really accepted haaaa

BUT we got a huge problem of weaning her off her THUMB... cos as she lost her pacifier, she will sucked her left thumb. We thot of a method that is natural and not as hot as chilli -----> garlic
The first time we put she actually sucked and cried loudly. Then look pitifully at her forbidden thumb hehe

the next few times we put she didn't dare to suck and cried hysterically.

At few nites, we put plaster on her thumb to prevent her from sucking during sleeping. It should work cos many times I woke up, I didn't see her sucking her thumb.

Then last Sunday she was taking her normal nap and the maid tried to shift her properly onto mattress. Upon doing that, her instinct action was to put her thumb into mouth. But nearing the mouth, she brushed her thumb away and didn't suck! I think soon she will stop sucking altogether. Will monitor and hope she stays this way :)

Gemma is now enjoying school and doesn't whine at home before school. Phew! What a relief.

In fact, she looks forward to it and tell u a little secret.... she loves the director Ms Michelle and that what makes her not scare of school anymore.

I can see that she is more energetic in class than Jasper. Guess she is more sociable after all.

This week her uniforms came and she started wearing. In fact the moment I got last Friday, she quickly wear and let me and lao gong see. The proud look on her face buay tahan. I took pictures of her in her uniform and will post soon. Stay Tune.

Gemma first few days at Cherie Hearts!

Finally the day has come for Gem to attend the same cc as Jasper.

I was hoping for the best results - least crying. but still I was surprised she actually didn't cry during the normal check, n she actually went into the canteen alone and ate a sandwich. but after a while later, she started to become bored. she started to use her palms to hold her head up hahaha

then after her meal she walked out and refused to join the kids to exercise. She started to panic. then she started to realise something not right and keep holding my hand. She later finally cried when we asked her to enter the classroom later. I have no choice but to join her in class.

For the next few days we started to leave it to the teachers and she will howl away. Poor thing. In fact last Thur, she got sick and vomitted abt 3 times in school and 2 times at home. At first, thot she got frightened n vomit. then realise it might be stomach flu cos each time she ate, she vomit. Brought her to doc and let her rest at home on Fri. Then she started to become happy again. Yesterday morn, when we mention school, she got scared again and told us she dun like school. and mentioned she is sick. But we told her she need to go. She started to be nervous even at entrance of home and carpark.

Today, she cried when I left her with teacher at the beginning of class. Hope the crying get short and shorter and soon she will enjoy school... *heart ache for now...

Toothpaste terror

Recently, we just finish the first toothpaste and wanted to start a new one. Realise 1 toothpaste is expired (wasted!) cos the other time I buy in bulk to cost saving. Then we decided to dig out our supply and found 2 samples of Pureen toothpaste.

Though it is mint flavour, I thought it was for kids so guess it will be mild. Tried it on Jasper and realise that it gives out slight foam (though it should not) so I asked him to guggle his mouth with water and throw it away in the sink.

He was ok but not so for Gemma. Maid brushed her teeth and she like want to vomit.

Next day she develop phobia and refused to brush her teeth though we have change the toothpaste back to first teeth. (cos I think she is too young to learn to throw up water and used to eat the toothpaste) Till nite time she still refused and I step in to tell her it is the same toothpaste she loved. She dun wan to listen and kept crying. I knew she will vomit so I warn her if she vomit, I will def brush her teeth. I also warn as long no brush teeth, she wun be able to go outside. N she really vomitted. Angrily, I brushed her teeth with her still crying. I heartache but I got no choice. Cos brushing teeth is the most impt to protect her baby teeth.

The next day I remind her again. Maid wanted to brush her teeth but she hurried to me to ask me to brush her teeth... haaa clever gal cos she knew she had to let me witness her having her teeth brushed. so that she can go out...

p.s: this morn again refused to brush but maid force her... hiaz.... why my gal sooo stubborn or dirty? refuse to change dirty diaper, refuse to brush teeth, refuse to bath.... hiaz

Genting!

We finally book a trip to Genting during the term break in Happy Train.

We took the Friday night bus as I presume this will be the better choice as the kids would end up fast asleep for the entire 7 hours. I was right but the only inconvenience is waking them up for custom clearance n then trying to make them sleep again for the rest of the trip. But it turn up pretty well and they cooperate n slept (could have slept earlier if the tv is not on though!)

We reached First World Bus terminal at abt 5 a.m. Jasper was still fast asleep while Gemma wake up in a daze n then look around (kapo). We then queued to check in our luggages. By then both are awake but we carried them. By the time we check in the luggages, it was abt 5.30 a.m. So I decided to go to try buffet at Genting hotel as it should be open this time. However as it was my first time there (yes in fact all of us!), we got lost... so decided to ask the lobby.

I asked for map but the lady say run out? Then I ask for directions and she kept looking at her computer... Then asked me to wait for the shuttle bus to take us there. Actually I didn't want this but since, well so we waited. 6.05 a.m not here. 6.10... 6.15.... by then 6.30!

Frustrated I told hb let try out own way. Then I saw a BIG road sign outside signalling to Genting hotel. Decided to try that route... it was a mistake as it was outside and v cold/windy... misty too

anyway we climbed up a small hill n reach Theme hotel! still no sight of Genting hotel. Thinking that this trip is going to be a horrible one, luckily the lobby staff there told me there is a link connecting to that hotel. Finally found it n then realised it was also connected to First World Hotel!!! so malu man... but well it was our first time so we learn....

The kids were still happy I guess... look here. (Gemma always making this cute signs as she do not really know how to make a victory like gor gor)

We ended up eating at another buffet at Resort Kampong at Resort hotel. It was nice! esp the lemak rice.

After breakfast, we proceeded to buy our theme park tickets.

They are taking the rides. First time taking this kind of rides in amusement actually... n they enjoyed it and drive like a pro.

In fact they go many rounds and almost tried the whole range of cars available!

We also have family rides together.

The outside theme park was fun too. but v cloudy that day though! We tried almost everything except for the thrill rides.

It's Gemma first time on a swing! I miss swing too! and she so pro man in it! She enjoyed it alot.

The next day... very nice weather! and we are going strawberry park later. Someone took pic of Gem as he said she looked cute.

We took a nice dimsum bugget at Genting Palace at Genting hotel of cos... Delicious ... even the kids ate despite they have taken their milk already. The century egg porridge taste very good.

At the restaurant...

We took Awana airway to Chee Swee station. The genting one is down for maintenance.

We took a cab to strawberry park at Gohtong Jaya after tat.

Mushrooms... how they are grown. a lesson to my kids...

Lunch time so we went opp to eat since Jasper wanna rice. There, he saw this swimming pool and wanted to go inside! I then tell him we will go try the rainforest splash pool at Genting.

After lunch we went back to do shopping (there were some shops there) at the strawberry park. The kids were sleeping already. Bought snacks for both family and colleagues. Sebas also bought his man utd stuff there... ya he is a fan.

We went back hotel and I brought them to the splash pool and they enjoyed themselves.

By then, it was almost evening and I called bus 9100 to the mushroom farm to eat seafood dinner.

Back at first world plaza,

Third day and last day... so fast... since last day, we tried the buffet at the Genting Hotel. The one we wanted to try on first day.

Jasper ate a donut and plain bread there. Gemma too ate a bit of donut. There is plenty of food so quite worth to go as it was cheaper on weekdays! yes we went on a Monday.

The lemak rice is not as good as the first one we tried though.

Thereafter we went arcade... had so much fun playing and receiving tickets.

Lunch time we ate at Causeway restaurant. Sebas order dumpling noodles which was wrong choice for that time as need more time cooking and we only had 15 min!!! My rice came earlier and I ate finish before his noodles came... imagine

In fact it was Sebas birthday today! Happy Birthday!

We quickly paid $ and I took Jasper to buy his donuts, while Sebas n Gem go take lugguages. By the time I reach the lobby, it was almost 2.30! we were supposed to reach bus terminal by 2.30!

Anyway we managed to turn up in time and the kids actually slept at 3 p.m! too tired after all the playing! The kids slept n so I also took a nap whiel the bus moved off. By 6 p.m I thought I shld wake them up b4 they turned owls by nite fall... Once awoken, Jasper complained hungry then Gem. So they ate the donuts. After that, thinking that they get bored, I asked them to sing songs for me. They sang and sang. In fact louder and louder until I asked to shhh heee

But I glad they are in a happy mood. Someone even commented they are so cute...We reached home earlier at 9.30 p.m. Since it was papa birthday so we decided to go for ice cream with the kids at Swensons...

Little Gem is doing quite well in Happy Train. Now she is able to count 1-10 in English. Chinese sometimes ok but quite good already.

In school, everything she wanna do herself first, very unlike her bro style. And if she guess something (memory games) correctly, she will put up her fists in victory... hehe so cute

and end of every song, she will claps hands happily.

Last Sun, I brought the kids out for a short outing in Tiong Bahru, alone... yes alone cos hb was down with fever.... later diagnose to have a mild stomach flu.

This could be my first time bringing them out alone shopping. But well there always a first time...

So I brought them to the car and the moment I wanted to put mei on her chair seat behind, she cried and ask to sit with me. I explained to her she cannot sit with me as I will be driving. I thot it was the end, and all of us got to returned back to the house.

I was so touched at the moment. I didn't even need to explain to Jasper. I was so proud of him that I hugged him. He told me "mei mei scare hor" I thanks him for being understanding and we enjoyed our shopping together. We went Tom and Step, then popular book shop and the arcade and to see rabbits...

Then I dabao yummy roti prata back. Yes on the way back, Jasper still gladly sit behind. At times like this, all my hard work is worthwhile...

Nowadays my kids get into physical fight as well. Boy scold gal and gal will start hitting him back... n then he also start and then fight liao n now I have to tell Jasper that I will scold mei mei myself if she is wrong. It really getting out of hand.

Gemma is also progressing quite well in the Happy Train school. Her memory games are better now than before. or prob she understands the teacher's instructions better now. She can get all the correct sequences and what objects are in teacher's pockets. She also sit thru the entire class unless there r activities that need to roam around the classroom. She gamely participate in every games be it roaming around or just sitting there doing puzzles. Hope she stays this way. She is def not as shy as gor gor, who by now still sometimes doesn't want to roam round to participate the wall games.

in terms of recognising alphabets and numbers, she is still weaker than gor. she can only do 1 and 2 and the rest she can't
and till now, she still doesn't show interest in learning more about them or singing the alphabet song. She do sing other song though but her English is not so clear.

Nowadays Jasper will want Mei to say "Please", "Thank you" or "xie xie" if he pass anything to her. It hilarious but mei mei actually say. In a way it good to start good manners now. And also teach her to tok more... haaa n correctly. cos she initally always reply yes... haaa

However Gem also becoming more spoilt also by gor gor... Nowadays she expect him to take out her shoes, now even help her wear diapers and read her a book! Gosh poor boy... haaa ok last wkend, Gem feed him though.

Gem also always change her mind when change diaper or her clothes. Maid can be changing halfway and she will want me to change. If I take over, she wants Daddy to change... *roll eyes

Jasper finally got his cc t-shirt few wks ago before his sports day.

It rained during his sports day so we ended up having the games in their music room. Luckily it big enough for all of us! This photo is taken after the event. Jasper was rather good boy and stayed with his class thru out the event.

Since we took leave that day so we brought the kids out after that. Went to this korean restaurant which is also a heaven for us... cos there are rides and "balls" room for the kids... haa

They really enjoy there.

This is a video of Gem playing v dangerously ... She seems rather strong for her build too. She was actually trying to turn the track over to pour the balls but guessed she not even strength in the end so she started throwing one by one...

It was gemma third class last wkend (24 July) and she warmed up to the teacher liao. It was the English lesson so not sure if it because of the language too. She dared to reply when teacher ask her what is this, that. and she can participate in more games. There was a time where I play the hand puppets and one of my fingers was Daddy. She called "papa" hahaha so cute. And she actually try asking "how are you?" for each character on my fingers. Teacher say she sounds so cute... cos she really baby talk like tat.

n She guess correctly for the pocket memory game but failed in the other memory games. She still sit thru the whole class, though her class mate was not around. I still amazed why she can sit thru the 1 hr cos nothing can make her sit for even 10 min lo. So I guess she love school n not as shy as Jasper. But some actions she does not really keen to follow, like dancing actions. She would just listen n stare at teacher. hehe

After class, she hug teacher and bid her goodbye.

Mei mei attended her first school at Happy Train finally on 10 July. I am surprised that she can actually sit thru the entire 1 hour listening to the teacher. Though she still dun really understand the instructions like filling up the patterns sequence but I find it a great achievement already.

Firstly, she has never even sit down on a chair to eat or read for more than 10 min lor. hahaha at home or anywhere. so when she can sit thru the entire class I guess I shld praise her!

Also, her other fren is always walking around n her mummy apologise n embarrassed as she scare my gal will follow her. but she didn't. the most is she will sit on her chair n turn her bum 360degree ... haaaa but as long she is sitting down n each time teacher show flash cards n other activities, she will turn n face teacher

Today is my birthday! n hmm to celebrate we have a BIG walk... haaa ok it happen that today happen to be newpaper big walk. I think the kids first time and imagine I used to go when I still single! Now already a mum of 2... time flies

Ok not much changes except I have put on weight and we started later than usual. cos to prepare the kids too... n they r tired n watever.

Since the kids r still sleepy n no mood to walk, I decided to give them energy drink -milo! n some bread tat I bought yesterday from vivo.

Gemma nowadays like to play ball with me. She will throw to me and I throw back, though she dun really know how to receive the ball, I must say her throwing skills r wonderful... hahha

it is not too short distance n supposedly v good shot if she really throw at me... wat I mean? Ok she often bluff me... she would gia gia throw the ball but act didn't n then laugh at me.

Last Fri was Jasper sports day. It was rainig so heavily in the morn so they have changed the venue from West Coast park to their own music room instead. Though change of plan, it did not tamper the spirits of the kids there. There were so looking forward to the event. It turned out quite successful excpt the space is of cos smaller than the park! the kids really run so fast and it could have been better if bigger space to run run and run!

I also got to participate w Jasper in the parents kids run... and came out second! haaa
Jasper also didn't cry n run to us when he see us in the room. He joined his friends to sit together. Guess more or less he accepted the school system. 2 of his friends actually cry when they see their parents/family n cannot join them. so I must say Jasper is quite good n steady liao.

After the games, we have our group shots and award ceremony. While waiting for Jasper to have his macdonalds happy meal in school, we went to have our tyres changed. yes been some time since we service our car too. Damage is :(

After that, we detour back to fetch the happy boy and then all 4 of us head to a korean resturant opp of Haw Par Villa. Hb said Haw Par villa still can go in... but dare meh? looks eerie the whole place when I use to go there when i was so young haaa....

Anyway that place we lunched is where I often go when I was younger with my parents n sis... those were the innocent days when there was still a food court and think there an arcade there. my sis n I use to love goin there to makan n play... so now bring my kids... oohhh... sounds old liao

The place was marvellous for us!!! both parents n kids! There was a big play area filled with balls n then some toys n carts. There were mobiles too. Jasper ate some porridge we brought quickly while Gem never eat hers! then off the two kids go to play... Luckily our table is very near to the play area so we just eat n supervise them from far. Though there were times when we do go over n check if they ok.

After that, we went to vivo. I told Jasper to nap a while so that later wun doze in the cinema! yes we be watching the first movie in the cinema with the 2 kids! Jasper really slept within 1 min. good boy! then after the nap, he woke n we went toyrus to play a while n then prepared milk for both of them. Then off we went to buy popcorns and go into the cinema.

Once the movie starts, Gemma actually slept! luckily she pays nothing haaa if not lugi. Jasper actually enjoy n ate popcorns along the way. He went for 1 toilet break. he even sat with 1 leg crossed haaa. After the show, he told us his fav character was the octopus, I told him bad guy ley! The show is touching so u must go watch! it also have v meaningful storyline that u must take care of yr toys, about feelings n togetherness.

By the time we finish the show it was 630 p.m, we wanted to go to USS ($2 entry only) n we didn't wan to waste time eating dinner at some bz food court. Everywhere is crowded anywhere, so we ended up buying lots of bread at break talk to bring to Sentosa to eat.

We took the tram n we enjoyed the nite view. Jasper was hungry by the time we reached there so all of us grab our bread n sat down enjoying the surroundings.

By the time we eat finish is almost 8 n we quickly bought tickets n went into USS. We only can explore the hollywood part but the kids are v happy running around already. The air is cooling by then so v good to walk. We took many shots there.

We reached home by 10.30 p.m n was so drained out! but all happy n kids behave v well! Bravo!

Then came sat, went early to Honda service centre to put our car there. Then initally wanted to take train to Jasper school but not enough time. So end up take cab.

By the time reach was 15 min late n I hurried into room with Jasper. Heard Gemma crying outside n I ran out again n papa took over.

Finish class n we walked around Bugis n the kids wun miss the toys sections n games arcade where they play a few games.

Nite time ate with my parents for a belated father's day treat. Actually wanted them to follow Fri but they could not. We went to OCBC centre (Peach garden) to makan. It was our first time there n the food is rather nice. but the ambience there quite grand. So little Gem was wearing quite appropiate in her princess dress again. For my mum to see la ... haaaa

Everyone there commented she really look like a princess or bride n she was v happy tat day too. Gals really can dress many ways...

Sunday we went IMM for Jasper Macdonaldssss... he just love it. n he pestered to go library again. yes again. sat went for a brief one already. by dinner time, I was exhausted so get hb to dabo food back home to eat. n He also bought durians! season now so super nice!

trying to load last wkend activities pictures but have technical problems since yesterday. will try later.

b4 I forget I must say Jasper really improve alot in his social skills as seen last wkend. Last sat he met with many kids which he saw first time and though he is quite shy, he did not move aside. At first he want me to follow him everywhere but slowly he let go n was more comfy, though hb is around. I can see that he no longer so afraid of new environment and warm up faster than b4. Bravo! Till now, I still sick of relatives telling me whether I do bring my kids out n y they so shy. it as if I keep them in the house 24/7 n not letting them see the world. It was untrue n it really hurts when they pass these insensitive remarks. I always tried my best to let them mix with people. Actually social wise, Gem def fare better than Jasper. She can shake hands with strangers or wave hello but def wun let them carry.

yesterday nite Jasper sang happy birthday song again in chinese n Gem actually clap n follow song too. She can say the words. so really 2nd can follow 1st child. I rem Jasper still clueless of bd song b4 he turns 2! hahaha Gem smiles sweetly when I praise her.

Yesterday Jasper again become a good gor gor to mei mei... which melt my heart. He was v proud when I praise him... hehe

Ok Gemma wanted to eat 1 biscuit but realised that was the last one and it was eaten by Jasper already. While I was trying to explain to her that there was no more left, Jasper surprised me by giving his piece to Gemma. Though it was half eaten, but really touch my heart. Then Gemma happily took.

Around 9p.m Jasper took my iphone to play and then share the games/ take turns with mei ... how sweet...

Later on just about to prepare to sleep, Jasper look for mei to play together and they play so happily and laugh so loudly. How I wish everyday is like tat...

P.S: Last nite Gemma actually woke 3 times ... dunno wat happen. liek have nitemare n suddenly jerk up n wanna run towards the door again. First time all of us ignore her cries at the door. She cry for quite a while b4 giving up n returning to bed. Second time I talked her out n tell her there's a lion (she scared of it) waiting outside for her if she insist on going out. She came to me n I hug her then she returned back to bed. Third time was when I wake up to get ready for work n I quickly hug her n move her back to bed... hiaz... hope she can return back to normal soonnnnn

Last sunday I pass by Nichii and wanted to see clothing as my fren wedding lunch is near. So my hb, Jasper n Gemma waited at 1 corner. I later heard Gemma crying for me. So end up she follow me around to see clothing n help me take them too. Then both of us happily went into fitting room n I tried the clothing. I will also ask her if it nice.

After we have comb the whole shop, we went back to find the 2 guys... guess what? they r sleeping... ;p

Ytd Gemma cry again when maid left her sight. Maid is sick n got to go see doc. So end up I left her standing at the door grille waiting for her to come back. I can't even come close to her as she will snap n cry loudly... this is how fierce she is... hiaz

Ok I not sure if I have tok abt their eating habits. I realise Gem like to imitate the adults way of eating, like eat the whole corn and chicken wings w/o cutting. If I tear the meat up n give her, she will refuse to take. So end up I give her the wing and she slowly bite n munch and enjoy.

Jasper, on the other hand dun eat corn and as for chicken, I need to tear for him small pieces n he will take n eat...

I forgot to say ever since Jasper went school, Gemma have been trying her best to go down those bigger slide (playground and not those Little Tikes kind) herself. She used to held our hand then have the courage to slide. Even when slide also v slow motion.

Last month she actually tried once herself and gain confidence. Now she can confidentally go down slide herself. n she quite ya ya. Every time she will lift her hands up while she goes down.

Recently we went Jacos Ballas Garden for an event. There is a treehouse there if you been there and there are 2 tunnel slides there. One is higher (abt 3 storey) and another shorter (2nd level)

Jasper dare to slide down both. Being an amateur, I didn't think Gem will make it lor. N i tried to slide down with her. She scream and refused. End up she act slide down the shorter one all by herself! gosh. but after the first, it was her last try too keke... she was scare stiff cos it was faster than she thot... hahaha

So end up Jasper was the one who keep sliding down. Ok later Gem slide down with daddy... :)

Gemma always thinks of gor gor whenever she goes. Guess she is lonely w/o him. It like love-hate relationship.

ok I stayed at home to take care of them. A few days b4, I rem punishing Gemma by not bringing her to ntuc. She cried and Jasper mock her saying she cant follow.

Yesterday, I stay home n when we went out to buy some herbal tea, he insist to follow so we brought him. He never thot of bringing mei mei along.

Then later in the nite, we went down to buy some groceries for today. Mei mei was alert while Jasper was still feeling drowsy. Then we asked Gemma along. At first she hesistated. Then when she decided to go, she blurt out "Gor gor" and point into the room. We told her gor gor not going.
We did it quietly cos we did not wan Jasper to follow since he was sleepy. but mei mei actually call for him! how sweet!

Gosh... all 2 kids r sick ... guess they got the virus from dear daddy who been sick since Sunday...
High fever n cough. Visited the doc and doc say it looked like 2 ulcers r coming up in Gem throat but he not confirmed it is HFMD. He say not necc.... hope it not comforting words...

Anyway Gem was again scared of her doc trips... She always anticipated doc wish to open her mouth n always do the opp... - shut the mouth tight tight.... but this time she gladly step on the weighing machine w/o tears... haaa n sadly it was still 9.2kg! doc told her to eat more if not the wind will blow her away. In fact this week I started her on another multivit called Kiddi and Pedisure... Hopefully she gain some weight!!!

In fact 2 weeks ago, I was down with this bad cough w thick phelgm which I couldn't cough out. But te kids didn't got it though I was closer to them. So didn't expect them to felt sick this time. Hiaz... It been quite some time they r sick since the Taiwan trip in march. Hope they get better soon.

yesterday nite she cry again (around 3 a.m plus). The previous nite she woke up 3 times n maid had to bring her out to sleep. this time i was awake n make sure she doesn't leave the room. I do not wan it to be a habit n she will start wakin in middle of nite looking for the maid.

She was calling out for maid n crying louder n louder when her pleas are unanswered. She was trying to open the door too. I just woke up n hug her hoping she calm down v soon by my smoothing ways. but no! I was very wrong. She kept crying still. This carries for more than 15 min till I gave up n leave her alone. By then Jasper woke up too but he was still sleepy and I think he was abit irritated as he was cupping his ears... poor him too!

I tried to cover his ears too n he just close his eyes again n try to sleep. Hb took over n tell Gemma calmly that auntie will not come in and she is sleeping. but she couldn't understand and kept crying still. Her energy is really plenty. Hb grew tired too n then retreat back to his bed and threathen to off light. He off the light from the lamp n Gemma cry louder.

Anyway the crying very soon stop? (like less than 5 min?) cos I guess she realise nobody bothering her noe. It like the peter cry wolf scenario... I notice she peek at us. Then she said "mimi"

then later call me to request for pacifier and tissue. She finally calm down after we totally ignore her! I gave her and kiss her and sayang her. Gal, when can you understand? I am your mummy and u shld be closer to me than the maid... it really pains me... I hope tonite it be better...

Gemma doesn't want to change/bath these days... It been so difficult to coach her just to change her diaper even... yesterday she cried pitifully when I ask her to change her diaper b4 going out. I wonder why and asked her what wrong but she just shake her head furiously. Then as usual things like this she will look for auntie. She was mumbling and I ask Jasper what she toking ... haaaa then I told her auntie not home (off day)

Anyway I try to tok sweetly but she just wouldnt want to change. I even tell her we can hug her while she change or I do gently. Every method fail so I was like "ok none of us can go out now!"
Just when I ge ge walk out, she want liao. cos she wan to go out. so after I finally manage to change her diaper all of us are so happy hhahhaa n I clap for her. Actually she was supposed to bath as she was back from the zoo earlier... hiaz this gal ah... really dirty gal unlike her bro who already bath when he reach home...

So we went Tiong Bahru to walk walk and have our dinner.

At dinner time this chilli padi was something too. After eating 2 or 3 scoops of rice she started to climb down the sofa. (no more bb chair available tat time) n she started looking at ple and walking to daddy seat... n after she finish her rice, she will start to climb up sofa and pass me behind n started taking another scoop and then repeat climbling down sofa...

this goes on until she decided she wan to remain on the ground.

So I decided to feed her. She ate at first then as usual puke out the subsequent one. Then I started coaching her to eat by saying GemGem come eat... then Jasper also started imitating me and say Gem Gem Gem Gem

Then Gemma scream No! I then say "Zheng Ning Ning Ning Ning Ning eat"

She say noooo... then I say "Mei mei..." Jasper followed "water water" and smiled.

Just then Gemma came over my spoon of rice and snap at it angrily. The rice flew all over my shirt and hands :(

She really v bad tempered... so we leave her there.

P.S: Today while playing with little touch (Leapfrog), they both want it so I asked them to share. Nearly came to a fight with many tears... cos Jasper want to touch the bulb for more games while Gemma want to touch the green button. I was thinking die liao the little touch sure spoilt cos both of them are clicking away their own buttons and getting frustrated. No one wants to give in. I looked nervously and thinking wat to do next before the crying starts. Then I tried to tell Gemma wat she wan and then I realised she wan to touch the bear for sound. so I asked Jasper to let her touch first for sound then he can touch the bulb for games. he was ok but when it his turn, gem doesn't wan. I knew this page is goin no where n quickly try to turn to another page where there are numbers and pictures counting. managed to divert theri attention and ask them to count. Both of them instantly enjoyed it and forget the fighting over buttons. They click on the numbers and jasper was happily walking around counting. Cool! I managed to stop a potential crying and fighting... phew...

I find Gemma quite quick witted.... yesterday nite, jasper wanted me to bath him after his meal. I agree and was following him to the toilet. Then I saw mei mei spring into action n rush to the toilet first. n she starts to call me n I realised she wanted me to bath her. Then Jasper start to whine n hold my hand tightly. I told both of them ok I shall bath them together. And so goes...

Then when I open the fridge (got slight sound), she was in other room. She can dash out and I quickly close it b4 she saw the chocs!! haaaa she just smiled at me. Guess nxt time she be faster. Jasper was still in the room.

And she was v cute, she pt to gor gor n say "noti noti" n smiled... hahaha n she make sure I see her comment n make the wierd face... haaa

Oh ytd Jasper surprise me too. We were watching this variety show at 8 p.m where the star goes to certain countries and tell the experience. Ytd one was Felicia Chin. He looked at the mountains and immed pt and tell me "Taiwan!" ohhhh... He knew it. n we asked him if he wanna go there again and he say Yes.

Hiaz... these days I really find it so diff to handle Gemma around the night and sleeping time.
She keeps clinging onto maid and dun allow her to do anything than to accompany or hug her.
It so frustrating n helpless to see her cry her heart out. Pains me too.

I tried givin her toys n use soft approach also no use. She just wan the maid to come n hug her.
n ytd I took my fren's advice to lure her chocolates, which r her fav. She dun give a damn n keep bawling away. Just then gor gor came n saw n wan to eat. So i gave him choose and he chose the almond one. put whole thing in mouth and then ask me y so hard.... haaa

He manage to finish n ask for softer one so I gave him the rasin one.

Gem still howl. So i gave up n went back tv room. Just then v quiet. Jasper asked me "Is auntie out already? Why mei mei so quiet?" I said maybe lor

then mei mei suddenly run in n saw me, then dash out again n cried.

I went out n saw maid hugging her and i ask wat happen. Maid say she lookin for the chocs. u promise her? I said sorry I never promise. I just now gave her chance but she chose u. so No more chocs cos offer over. She cried even louder!! *faint

but I know I cannot give in. Must set good example to gor. I told her just now give you to stop you cry n looking for maid, you dun wan, so since u choose maid, it fair u never get to eat it.
If you wan, then take maid as chocs lo... I was in fit of anger to say tat :(

she quiet down n lie on maid shoulders. I ignore n go back while maid coach her to drink her milk which she still drank onyl 1 oz so far. End up she was so tired that she slept w/o drinking

She really diff from gor. Last nite gor whine n wan bread. It was dinner time n normally i dun give. but I dun wan a whiny child... come back from work wanna some peace. So I told him let gou gou shou (make promise), I give u a bit n u must finish yr rice. He promise n gou shou and after eating the 2 piece of bread ( I tear abit - less than 1 normal slice), he started eating his rice. He also ate some fish n prawn n veg....
so much easier to bluff than mei... but prob mei is younger n at the stage comin to terrible 2 too... so got to be more patient i guess. *hiaz.

Just 2 weeks ago, Jasper was behaving like a monster... like they say terrible 3's

It was worse than 2 year old.

Recently I changed my method of dealing, not say I give in but I try to be softer and treated him with more love and understanding. I tried to understand from his point of view, whereby he could be trying to say something but dun know how to convey. I tried to make it a point to hear him out n provide alternatives for him to choose. this way he get some control and become less whiney. Make my life easier n less noisy!

Last whole week he didn't manage to attend his cc cos they found an ulcer n suspected... whole week the ulcer didn't disappear so he get to stay at home.thxs god... cos his school got 3 cases over the wkend, 1 from PG2.so i guess it blessing in disguise.

we managed to get a doc letter on Sunday but since there were 3 cases over wkend, i decided to let him stay at home on Mon.

Last sat morn, he woke up v happy n screamed tat he wan to go bugis school... told him it was public holi -labour day. n he looked disappointed. guess whole wk of no school make him sad, not meeting his frens n teachers.

Last week there a scene at home v funny. I just got back home from work feeling exhausted. I just went into bedrm to get my pyjamas when Gem came in with her mega blocks.
Just then Jasper came in to see me n saw Gem... he said in authorite way, "mei mei no toys in the room!" suddenly I feel so guilty. Well I always train Jasper not to bring toys into the bedrm as beds are for sleeping. Somehow I didn't always say Gemma... not that I give in to this gal but soemhow my attention to 2 is somehow shorter liao. Dun have the energy to teach too. surprise but happy tat Jasper is teaching mei mei the rgt way this time. Mei mei quietly followed him as he say "I help u to bring out!"

haaa. enough of that, I realsied over this wkend, suddenly Jasper transform from a snatching monster to a loving bro... He was playing with my iphone and mei mei was screaming her head off cos she wanted to play too. I was trying to explain to mei it not her turn yet. Just then, Jasper suddenly hand over his half playing game to mei n mei happily took the phone. Whiel she was playing, he looked at her lovingly and sayang her head!! so sweet of him rgt! this warm my heart... if only he always like this... hahaha

Gemma now also always copy gor gor actions and sing along w him. Everytime we outside, she make sure gor gor come along w her too. If not, she will shout for him and say "come come" with the coming gesture... so cute...

but She really a tomboy, climbing everywhere and hmmm not closing her legs... if u tell her to, she will purposely open bigger :(

n her "no" and "yes" is spoken v girly and sharp... hehe everytime i hear it i will smile to myself.

Poor Gemma is sick again - down with running nose, bad cough and feverish...

She has now got to take antibio, brought her see doc ytd. Also sui bian ask how to increase her appetite. I think she not been eating well too so tat y poor immunity

ytd at clinic, before goin in Gem was playing and running away. even climb on a car *roll eyes
then when their names are called (yes Jasper also went as running nose still not ok), just abt to go in, she say NOOO haaa so amusing...

Then Jasper got in first and do all the checks quietly and obediently. Then came her turn. She scream everytime the doc try to check her haaa... she only calm down after the doc keep saying she is doin v good n v clever... hahaha

they both got cute characters chops on their hands.

Hope my two kids get well soon and stop their crankiness as well...

yesterday Jasper told me he wanna go shopping w Gemma... I laugh out loud. At times like this, you really think it worthwhile to have more than 1 kid... but when they fight... u really wan to cry too

Gemma can now sing twinkle little star and some other songs liao though it not so clear. soemtimes along the way she humm the tune only. But at least now I know she beginning to talk more words liao. She can speak quite clearly now too. She can understand us better and reply yes to acknowledge. very cute gal...

She also sometimes follows gor gor to dance and sing... I wish they can play more than they fight though ;p

But there only a little or might be a BIG problem later, she doesn't love eating noe :( dun even like white rice... and she suck her pacifier or thumb till noe. Yes she still young now but I still need to find a way to wean off his habit slowly... actually I ever try chilli b4 but she love it! she really my small chilli padi... ;p maybe i shld ask maid to cook her spicy stuff...

Last day at Taiwan! (11Mar10)

It the last day here ... so fast. we woke up late somemore... so decided not to go Yang Min Shan. 1stly place is too big to explore n we lack of the time, 2ndly, kids still weak so how can they hike? haaa so we drop the idea n went for my backup plan -Danshui. m looking forward to eating the extra "tall" icecream cone n take the ferry to see lovers bridge.

Upon reaching there, we realise lots fo shopping at the streets and quickly head down to ferry terminal to board the fery first, so tat we have time to shop later.

We pass by an icecream store n can't resist buying first to eat since today was a "hot" day compared to previous days...

The lady was kind enough to make our cone into 2 parts, top part put into a cup. She say easier for us to share... clever idea but I didn't manage to take the photo first! she too fast ah haha

After danshui, it was already 1 p.m and we had to be back to hotel to collect lugguages and take our taxi at 2.30p.m. We still have our last destination which is for our lunch too. So I told them to go ahead as planned since dun wanna miss this car theme restuarant. We went to PS Bu Bu (another scene from Meteor garden). I knew the kids will be v thrilled and we will have a peaceful time eating! hahaha

After lunch, we looked at clock and it was already 2.15!! we quickly took cab to nearest MRT back to Xinmending... was really a drama. I nearly lost my MRT card to Jasper again. 1 moment in hsi hand n when we get out of train to transfer, I found his hand empty. Panic, n ran back into train w him! He panic too as he see his dad already left the platform! Shout wan his daddy while I search for the card on the chairs we took and floor.

Found nothing n time already racing... I quickly get back on train back to the station again. Call hb and said I have lost the card n be with him soon.

I kept askin Jasper where did he drop the card... then i found it in.... his pocket! goodness. but luckily found lo. then by then it was 2.30 when we reach Xinmending!

As we still need to buy some items, I asked hb to go w Gem to buy while I head back hotel to meet taxi driver.

When I reached, the taxi driver was already there n I apolgise for being late. But he was v kind n say it was alrite. Then the hotel staff and him load all the lugguages into the MPV. v helpful staff. I didn't even carry anything! cos I was w Jasper. cos we have many lugguages n they didn't show black faces or watever.

We then head to airport... for home sweet home...

9th day at Taiwan (10 Mar 2010) - Taoyuan and Taipei

Weather was very fine today thanks heaven!

We are on way to xiao ren guo (Windows on china)... initially wanted to take bus but there a taxi driver who came and ask us to share cab... so we went.

Once we reached there, it was so much colder!!! imagine it was cold earlier liao. I think weather got below 10 degree. We ran into indoors but it didn't help... we tried to block out the wind first... really not prepare. Luckily I wore thicker clothes for the kids, at least 5 sets each haaa

8th day... Taiwan (Yeliu - Keelung - Taipei) 9 Mar2010

I woke up and push open the curtain... gosh sian! raining n seem so cold outside till the window freeze... Being creative, I wrote...

Outside was damn cold n windy!!! the wind blows and boy we feel like heading back...
we quickly went underground to take MRT to Taipei main station to take bus. Today I plan to go Yeliu but it is raining so not sure if we get to see the stones there... sian...

We get on the Kuoguang bus and to our surprise got waitress... n all the cameras suddenly... think they filming some ad for the bus company. This goes on some time n we thinking when it end so that the bus will move! the waitress have to ask us if we want the air-con and adjust for us, n give us drinks. haaa we feel like stars haaa

Anyway, finally they call it OK and our bus move on...

We reach Yeliu! Really make mistakes... it was too cold n windy... yes windy... We were worried about the kids catching cold (they were getting better today liao) so we gave up walking out towards the scenic park. But I had to take the entrance! hahahha

We hide under a broken house. Gem still v happy... think we playing hahhaa...

I put heat pads on our body but still v cold... n Gem dun wanna the gloves and her jacket is too thin...

We took another bus to Keelung... over there, just as cold! We hurried into Burger King nearby!

We went Wufenpu next since we taking the railway. Bought my stuff as well as kids stuff. Real cheap!

After shopping we thot of going to Raohe mkt but I afraid Gem get cranky again and we carried quite alot of shopping stuff liao. So we gave up n headed back to hotel first.

After putting our stuff, we again left hotel haaa... so we go back Xinmending for more shopping n makan.

7th day Taiwan - Taipei (Wulai, Shida mkt, Xinmending) 8 Mar 2010

We went Wulai around late mornings... the bus trip was rather long and very crowded. Luckily we people offer us their stairways seats... haha taiwanese r very kind ple. Upon we board the bus, we thot that it... we going to stand... but we heard alot of commotion to give up seats for us since we carrying 2 kids... The trip was full of turns so we were lucky to be sitting!

烏來 - scene v nice there... weather abit cold too....

We stop by to eat our lunch before goin to the waterfall. We ate at Taiya Po Po (泰雅婆婆美食店), 14 Wulai Street. Literally "Atayal Grandmother," this restaurant specializes in Aboriginal Dishes such as Wild Mountain Boar (山豬), Bamboo Tube Rice (竹筒飯), Wild Mountain Yams (山藥), and Pickled Pork (damamein; 的麼面). Featured on Travel Channel's "Bizzare Foods: Taiwan" so we tried some of them. I find the yam rolls nice but not the boar... fatty lo...

It was opened by a tribe. and they wear the costumes. In fact they have some head wear for ple to wear and take pic.

So we ate some desserts. After desserts we walked around and towards the MRT and head back to Xinmending for shopping

There were alot of shopping at Xinmending and we bought quite a few stuff including some funny products like fake medicated oil or story book (it contains sweets).

We had our dinner here too. All their cafes are really well decorated as compared to our country. They really spent time n effort to decorate.

6th day Taiwan (7 March2010) Taichung to Taipei

We had brekkie at the cafe below. It was provided. n the buffet spread is quite a lot. but too bad we dun have enough time as we woke up late ;p

also, if the kids stomach were well, they can drink milo and chocolate there... hiaz... nxt time bah

We quickly eat... v delicious! and drag our lugguages to the bus stop to take the bus to HSR station.

To our surprise, the bus was actually a shuttle service and it was free.

Free and also take time lor.... took us almost 20- 25 min to reach ah...
Finally reach and we managed to board the 11 a.m train back to Taipei for our last hotel stay.

When we arrive, we took the taxi back to our hotel - Just sleep xinmending. n quickly waste no time and walk over to Xinmending for our lunch! I had placed a booking at Modern Toilet restuarant... 12 p.m, nearly lost our way but still manage to reach in time. luckily of the tips i got from people's blogs... :)

We went up the observatory at 101 as we thot the kids will like it.

We didn't know upon entrance they will take group photo n so didn't wake Gem up. By the time we realise, we tried to insert others in before us. but Gem still dun wake up. Finally she woke but not happy. n her pic didn't turn out nice. if not nice group photo... anyway see us on the tv screen... tat our photos with 101. Actually at obervatory also have another photo taking. but tat one is candid n funny poses... but since kids not in a good mood, so we give it a miss.

Nite view of 101. Nite v cold liao... chilling n somemore a bit drizzling. Let the kids wear rain coats but Gem doesn't wan... hiaz. so i force her to wear the jacket hook.

Then we saw the rain like no more, so decided to go back hotel to freshen up. As it was still early to call it a day, we went to Taipei main station underground malls since we too cold to be outdoors... We bought quite a few stuff there, including their story books. Got cheap bargains there. Also bought my jeans for less than $30 and not bad cutting. in fact they have free alterations but we didn't want to wait. but the staff told us we can act come any other day to alter, FOC. but then of cos we can't since we dun stay in Taiwan ahhahaa...

This book (plus CD with all the songs) below cost me less than $5! (Taipei underground malls at taipei main station)

Once reach hotel, Gem change to her pyjamas and drank some water... haahaa

6 March (5th day) - Cing Jing - Taichung

We woke up with a nice scenery... feel like on heaven...

Couldn't miss to take a pic w it! act dun mind lazing around again this day but we got to pack n go off to our nxt destination -Taichung! was thinking of the transfer via puli later...

We waited for our hotel driver to drive us to Cing Jing farm. was nearly late for the sheep shearing show but manage to catch it anyway!

After visiting the farm, the driver came n pick us to the bus stop with our lugguages. Over there, we heard there was a direct bus to Taichung! which is good news to us! dun need to waste time transferring n waiting for nxt bus.

Our bus stopby some place for rest. So we came down n kapo. We saw this mini veg mkt... act we saw a few in those vans which come n go... we shld have this in SG... haaa then i no need to travel to Tiong bahru or redhill for my mkting ;p

We told the driver that we will alight at the last bus stop -Gan station. N concidentally, the stop was just below our hotel - Holiday Inn Taichung!!! it so convenient... it a nice surprise... just walkin... haaa we will def choose this hotel nxt time if we take the bus again haaaa.

The toilet glass is abit translucent... n have a pole for hanging clothes to dry. Hb love the toilet n keep telling me from tiem to time he wish to have this kind of toilet... even the soap he still wishing for it... ;p

Gem laosai alot again and I had to change in the park... Jasper still dun look good and we try to find a doc for another review. Some people advise to go hospital again...

We found the taiyang old store (太陽堂) and the lady was very helpful. We asked them if they know of any hospital nearby. then she say in fact there is a child clinic nearby and she could bring us go first. So she kindly walked there with us.

After seeing the doctor (the doc say my kids will get well soon themselves! hehehee), we went back n bought boxes of taiyang biscuits for our collegues and I also bought 1 box of pineapple tarts. Gem love them alot n the lady gave her 2 to eat there. Couldn't buy alot cos all these r hand carry... too bad!

We also went Fengjia mkt. It was abit drizzling but v v crowded. It was very big too. Too many things to see... I think the mkts at Taichung seem much more things than Taipei ones...

We bought a 95 car pants for Jasper at Fengjia mkt...

4th day (5 march) Taiwan - SML to Cing Jing

Morning was very fresh and the 2 kids was feeling abit better. Jasper was able to ask and eat bread for brekkie... The air was very fresh and we ate at outside bench despite the coldness!

Our brekkie... simple and nice.

We took the new cable car ride, can't miss it as heard the views there are priceless... act wanted to go to the niu chu park but heard it very crowded on Fri and wkends and we only had a 1-2 hours to spare so ptless to go. Cos I wanted to see flowers only haaa - there are gardens in there. cos I knoe we wun be able to enjoy those thrill rides for noe. so decided to just take the cable car to-fro and it good enough.

It was a Fri so very crowded... luckily we didn't bought the tkts after all.

After that, we quickly go back Laurel Villa and took our luggages and boarded the bus to Puli.There we waited for bus to Cing Jing.

We went to our hotel - Ming Ging Farm. The driver had to drive us there from main road cos it impossible to walk in...

Ming Ging Farm is a cottagelike guesthouse perched some 1,700 metres above sea level. The guesthouse is surrounded by a panorama of mountains and plunging valleys – head onto the veranda early in the morning to experience the stunning sight of the valleys blanketed in clouds

We reached there around 3 plus but was told that Cing Jing Farm close around 5 p.m so no point to go there. So we ended up whole day in our hotel so we roamed around and slept. Why sleep? cos I kenna fever and I didn't knoe... was so tired so sleep n sleep n took temp then knoe! so kuku... but it was a good rest for all of us la... the room n view was superb. but service not so good la... tat wat we think.

Then I feel abit cold and aching (fever but still dun knoe) so we slept... haaa

then almost evening we went downstairs again. But the sky machiam v late liao.

Our dinner... guess it not bad since Sebas ate both mine and his meals hahahhaa. All 3 of us didn't eat.... Gem was sleeping while Jasper and I simpy no appetite... I see Jasper like tat, really heartache...

Sebas... Looks nice and at first he gave to me since I couldn't eat mine. but I ate a few scoops and didn't want it. So he also finish... haaa

We asked them to cook some porridge for the kids but ended up they didn't eat. so I ate some. Actually this isn't in the menu but they cook for us. the menu was all western and not suitable for sick ple... ;p
