As you can see she is quite adventurous. She really loves the roller coaster! At her first attempt, she sat at the front seat... brave gal!

Find that Gem is getting cleverer...

Last night, little Gem ask her brother to draw angry bird. Jasper tried and didn't draw as what she has directed. She remarked "wrong" Jasper replied "ok I cancel it". To which, Gem replied" Nooo you can't cancel. you had to erase!" Jasper say "ok then how?" Gem asked him to go find eraser and he quickly go... hahaha imagine being ordered by his younger sister.

and today Gem shows that she can really remember things better than all of us. Today, they had to wear shoes to school as there is class photography. All of us forgotten and nearly walked out. She reminded us about the shoes. Heng she reminded if not we had to go back later and be late

She also remember which floor we parked ... yes all 3 of us can't remember which floor... hahaha She was very proud then... bravo!

ah.... Gemma now is back on diaper at nites as I am simply too tired to wake her up to pee and she too... she will get grumpy... so lazy mummy put her on diapers again.

I have bought the mattress and pillow protector but I am simply too tired and no guts to put her diaperless... hiaz...

Finally last nite Gemma went diaperfree and didn't wet the bed! congrats to myself and her of cos!

Anyway I woke up 2 times to make her go toilet and each time there is pee. so sort of lucky and got the right timing... so more sleepless nites to come... ;p

but I am very glad for her achievement!

yesterday nite, we went Ikea and bought 2 photo frames. Hb told the kids to keep it a secret from maid as it is meant for her. The kids will each create their own artpiece on the frames and then will give it personally to maid only on Saturday (her last day).

Anyway upon reaching home, Gem will so excited that she let out the beans, she told auntie " we got something for u" at first maid was puzzled and I wanna brushed it off.

However, Jasper gasped and said " oh mei mei u not suppose to say. it a secret and surprise for her.... mummy and daddy say cannot say and then we do and pass to auntie on Sat..."

hahahha kids really cannot keep secrets. and Gem started digging the photo frames out. I was trying to hide but since she knew, no choice. so ended up no surprise.

After the perth trip, I realise that they can eat more westernised food such as pizza and burger. Jasper dares to try a mos burger just the other day.

Last saturday, we went to a gathering whereby a pri 1 gal commented that when my boy smiles, he is quite handsome... omg these days gals r daring... dare to say hahaha I must be wary when my boy starts p1 in 2 yrs time!

I am thankful that my kids are not so addicted to the technologies here nowadays... ipads, iphones, smart gadgets... I see kids playing with them on the move, during gathering, during meals... it almost 24 hrs, except for sleeping n bathing... really terrible.

just the other day, I saw other kids playing with iphones and ipads while my kids are playing with those small toy cars... my kids are still aware of their surroundings while these kids are oblivous and cannot even hear what is happening around them. what is happening? do we use gadgets to shut our kids up? where is the social interaction? and I am sure their eyesight will spoilt faster... there is a limit. I do give my kids play those activites and games but I limit them only at most 1 hr a day. and some days I dun even remind them. and they wun pester for it as they are not addicted. they read books and play their toys. also I find the games must be educational. so I will also gam poh and take a look at what they play. Really need parents to supervise and not just give blindly to the kids to play.

The other day, while I was thinking what to buy for my fren's one mth old bb boy...

Gemma: buy paper, 95 cars...
Jasper: buy soft toys
Gemma: buy pram!! (haaa too ex la)

One day Jasper lose the Jenga game and he cried immed (I think he hates the thot of mei mei winning him). I explained to him that there is win and lose in game... cannot always win. must take in failure and learn from it. I think mei mei motor n life skills better than him. but of cos, language and maths he def better than gal.

There was one day Jasper didn't attend school due to sick, and that day there was puppet show and giving out of sticker book. When Gem came home, she gladly volunteer and shared her stickers with gor gor. She even gave the only sticker of the main character to him. Such a good mei mei! if only gor gor can show more love to her... I hope he will one day. Maybe boys dun really show emotion.

Finally Jasper weight is over 15 kg! hopefully it stays this way. Today Gemma weight herself and also finally just over 13kg too! They are forever 14. something and another 12. something.... for many many months. so I v happy and hope they eat more now.

So now Jasper is 15.4 and Gemma 13.1kg

Jasper and Gemma are really different...

While Gemma is quite "dirty" and dun mind to poo in any public toilet even if it smells terribly. I am always the one suffering when I take her into toilet while she is v v happy like goin to amusement park. funny.

Jasper also doesn't like to poo outside. Everytime he find the urge outside, he will still try to ren and say he wanna go home to poo.

One day, he couldn't hold it and I brought him to the toilet. Upon entering the cubicle, he looked into the bowl and said "dirty ley"
I said it ok and I will clean it. He added" can you flush the black black thing now?"
He is even more a clean freak than me!

n he managed 1 poo and quickly stood up and say he finish.

ok both have good and bad points. For Gemma, very easy to bring her out as she more adaptable. Any where also can poo and pee I meant the toilets la
For Jasper, it terrible if u go far away places. eg when we were at Genting, he insist to go home n poo. hotel rm also cannot. n can see his face turned green but he still wan to endure. end up he couldn't eat during that meal. how could he when he already stomach ache liao rgt? but good point is he rather hygenic and so he wun anyhow go n touch the things in the toilet unlike Gemma.

On 28Oct, I taught Jasper my handphone number and asked him to memorise After a few tries, he remembered. He learned this type very fast, like alphabets and words. unlike Gemma. but Gemma is more street smart.

Then the next day, he actually called me from Kumon "mummy, can you fetch me now? I am finished here"
wow first call from him! so exciting and happy for him! somemore my handphone number is v difficult to remember 1.

poor Gemma is still sick after the Genting trip... dunno what sort of virus... pray that she gets well soon!

I bought this dress in Europe!!! way b4 I had Gemma... in fact, it was b4 I had kids... hahahha

I thot if I dun have gal nxt time, I will give it away... so heng la... ;p

Cute little Gem is quite fierce some times... Recently I caught her throwing gal tantrum at my boy. Ok happen that boy was sitting on tat chair earlier but the fact he was no longer sitting there n so Gem went to sit. Boy came along and want to sit. She didn't give in and lead Jasper to burst out in tears...

I saw n after a while ask her if she could give gor gor to sit since he is crying so badly liao. She gave in, stood up and threw a glare at gor gor and remark "I dun wan u liao!!" and storm away... hot chilli pepper....

Finally our turn came and Dora and boots pose for us!




Gem gave Dora a very big hug after this! She really loves her!

The other time I was teaching Gemma to count from 1-10, to see if she knows...

Me: and...??
Gemma:...
Me: 6?
Gemma: ...
Jasper helps her...
jasper: mei mei look at my hand. it looks like a gun
He shows the 7 sign as in like a gun
Gemma: 7!
Me: then?
Gemma: 8?
Me: then..??
Me: 9..
Jasper: mei mei look... like clappings hands
He shows all 10 fingers, and clapping hands.
Gemma: 10!

Parents-Teacher Session

Last Sat, we went to meet the teachers for the kids update in school.

Feedback from Jasper teachers are...

"he is quiet boy""his command of English is rather good""he shows improvement as in sometimes able to volunteer to ans questions and others task like playing the lion dance"

The chinese teacher also commented that he doesn't recognise his chinese name so need to practise recognising more at home. Both teachers agree that he doesn't show interest in colouring and do practise more colouring and cutting at home. But they say he is v keen in singing and have the rhythm and actions for every song. :)

Later we went to meet Gemma teachers too.

Feedback from Gemma teachers are...

"she is quite quiet" "but recently this week she dare to speak out esp if other kids snatch her things... she will scream" it's mine!!!" "
"so she can be quite fierce but she doesn't snatch other kids toys from their hands. she will ask permission" "she is v cute n I wish to hug her at times even if she only wanna hold hands""her fav fruit is watermelon" "she can paste art work diligently on the sheet""she speak quite softly"

Both Jasper and Gemma teachers said they have some problems in eating... which I agree too. For jasper, it has improved and teacher say in fact his class there are a few like him. For Gemma, teachers commented if she love tat food, she can eat 1 whole bowl. minimum amt they will force is at least half bowl.

Strange that the 2 kids are so quiet in school... at home it is totally diff.. screaming running, voices everywhere... fighting... teachers are amazed n thot i m bluffing them... no joke.

Gemma has an admirer in school... it's a boy. When my maid went to fetch her one day, he hug her and say bye... haaa

Last Sat, I told Gem that I use all the money to buy her diapers and so no $ to buy her dora stuff. She listened and decided not to wear. I also encourage her that if she able to urine in potty, I will give her stickers or chop. If manage to poo, I will give her strawberry shortcake stickers. She was motivated and the next few times were successful. I was v happy and of cos she too as she got her stickers etc. N she boost to everyone tat she got it cos she pee or poo in the potty. but think she had one incident tat she pee in pants.

Last Sun, we went out a while n so I let her wear pamper but I told her she need to say if she wanna pee. The first time she wanna pee n tell me, I quickly bring her to toilet. I took out her pampers as also need to change and she actually pee. She was v proud of herself. but the next time she actually say wanna pee but didn't pee. n we ended up going back toilet 3 times w/o success. so dilemma rgt, wish she will diaper free now but goin to public toilet is such a hassle.

Yesterday evening after school, she actually poo again in the potty. Hope she will keep this way...
